  4. Yes see your doctor.

Avoid refined sugars and start eating low GI foods – your blood glucose is spiking. Low GI foods create a slower and more even release of insulin into your blood. Processed foods cause boost of insulin straight after you eat – which is not good and can lead to diabetes.

Search the web for Low GI foods. Basically, the highest GI food out there is glucose. Eat wholegrain foods – brown bread, brown rice, durum wheat/wholemeal pasta, and of course the obvious, 2 servings of fruit a day and 5 of vegetables. Also, the natural sugar in fruit (fructose) doesn’t create a rise in blood sugars. However, fructose added to many foods like fruit drinks, candy bars etc is nowhere near it’s original form and is highly processed.

Also, even a small amount of weight loss will help with the hypertension. Try that.

  5. I had problems with this. I cut out all refined flours, grains, & processed sugars, honey, & high sugar fruits. Eat lots of fat. Lowish protein amounts & carbs. Weston a price followed indeginous people around who lived super long with no health problems to figure out where we went wrong. His findings have really helped me. Hopefully it will help you too! check it out
