Could Weed and bug killer cause seizures in dogs?

this is for a friend that had a Boston berfore the two that she has now. The boston she had before suffered from a type of seizure too that said was possibly from the food she was feeding her. But when she stopped the food the siezure still seemed to happen. The dog has since died about 2 years ago. She got a new Boston about a year and a half ago, seizure free so far. This dog had 7 puppies, 5 lived. I kept 2 of them and she kept 2 as well. So she has 3 now, the 2 pups and the mother, and her 2 pups have had a seizure, mine have not. Im just wondering is this a coincidense or maybe caused by weed killer shes use? I notice they use it a lot. And also a bug spray. Do you think the killers are what may be causing the seizures in the dogs? The mother dog has not had any seizures either. . . . or maybe a plant??? they get into a lot.
