Yes , a nursing home may be in order for sure. But there they are not going to keep him too clean either. (very possible) There's an awful lot of neglect in many of those places. It takes special people to work there, and to do it right. They are few and far between. We all want to just live until we die, but in many cases it doesn't happen. It's so sad that the one that needs the extra help, is running down the health of the spouse or others that have to tend to them. Pray, good luck, God bless you all, and I hope you find some way to resolve this.

I do feel for you and your family, you must be going through a very difficult time. I have seen this behaviour when I used to work in a geriatric psychiatric hospital. It is related to dementia, but could also be related to the medication he is on.
It isn't a symptom of Parkinson's, but I do think you need to speak to someone professional about it. If you are in the UK, with the state of the care system etc, don't be fobbed off and demand that your father gets the treatment he not only is entitled to but so much deserves.
Every person under medical care deserves a quality of life whereby they can maintain their dignity, even if they aren't aware of what's going on around them.
You may want to look at the Urox System instead of diapers for your father. This is designed for men who are incontinent and allows them dignity.

P'arkinson's disease is often associated with dementia, particularly as it progresses however i would advise consulting the dr as sometimes the medications need to be adjusted as they can also cause excessive confusion.
It could also simply be and expression of sheer frustration. It is a horrible disease to go through, both for the patient and for the carers and family but often the worst symptoms can be relieved by keeping a close eye on the balance of medications, particularly the levodopa and finding ways to help alleviate his frustration at being at the mercy of such a horrible disease.
